Phonak Audéo Infinio New Technology
The new ERA Chip allows for four key new features:
- APD 3.0 – a new fitting prescription that uses the latest research and ERA processing speed to give the user the correct gain at each hearing loss frequency.
- AutoSense 6.0—Trained with artificial intelligence, Autosense is software that automatically changes the hearing aid’s programmes and settings. As a hearing aid user moves into different listening environments, Autosense automatically loads the best programme, changes the volume, and adjusts the hearing device’s advanced features.
- Enhanced Bluetooth – Universal connectivity and 2-way streaming to any Bluetooth devices, including phones, tablets and laptops. Phonak Infinio hearing aids will pair up to 8 and 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously. The new ERA chip allows for increased Bluetooth transmission power, allowing users to maintain a high-quality signal over twice the distance of the previous Phonak Bluetooth.
- Auracast Ready - broadcast will enable devices such as smartphones, laptops, televisions, or public address systems to broadcast audio to an unlimited number of nearby compatible receivers, including hearing aids, speakers and earbuds.
Phonak Sphere Audéo Infinio New Technology
The new DEEPSONIC chip enables the new Spheric Speech Clarity system to operate. Phonak Sphere Infinio hearing aids are Phonak’s first hearing aids that can fully exploit the power of Artificial intelligence (AI) to separate speech from Noise. They have been trained using 22 million sound samples using a Deep Neural Network (DNN), and the Spheric Speech Clarity system can use these learnings to identify and remove unwanted noise from the speech signal, resulting in improved speech understanding in noisy environments.

Adaptive Phonak Digital (Improved): Refers to Phonak's proprietary fitting formula for reduced listening effort in noise for people with mild to severe levels of hearing loss.
AutoSense OS 6.0 (New): An advanced environment classification system which seamlessly optimises the hearing aids for different listening environments. This enhances speech understanding by 16% and can reduces listening effort by up to 45%.
Phonak Smart Speech Technology: A collection of hearing aid features that help you participate in conversations and provides easier hearing in many situations.
SpeechSensor™ (New) : Optimises your ability to hear speech from the sides and behind in noisy environments.
StereoZoom 3.0 (New): Automatic smooth activation of the hearing aid microphones to focus on a speaker in front of you in a challenging noisy environment.
Dynamic Noise Cancellation: Automatically reduces background noise around you so that it easier to hear speech in front of you.
Motion Sensor: Detects whether you are standing still or moving and adjusts the microphones focal patterns to optimise hearing when there’s competing noise and remain environmentally aware when moving.
UltraZoom: Automatically helps you focus on the speaker directly in front of you in a noisy environment.
Roger Technology: RogerDirect allows for streaming from Roger microphone accessories. This can assist hearing across distances in noise.
ActiveVent compatible. Use of active vent can Intelligently balances speech clarity and listening comfort. Provides superior sound quality for streaming media.
Sound Recover 2: A form of Frequency compression to preserve higher frequency sounds. Makes them easier to hear.
MyPhonak App: Gives control over many parameters of your hearing aids including; the volume, among of noise filtering, relative treble and base and control over the narrow directionality of the microphones. You can also create custom programs with preferred settings for specific environments such as your favourite cafe.
Tap Control: With the inbuilt motion sensors you can utilise a double tap to answer and end your phone calls, start and stop audio streaming and activate your voice assistant.
Universal Connectivity: As Infinio uses bluetooth classic you can connect to all bluetooth enabled devices to stream your phone calls and audio wirelessly through the hearing aids. This includes streaming from smartphones, tablets and computers. It allows for ‘hands free’ telephone calls where you can answer your incoming call with a simple press of the hearing aid button or double tap. This also allows dual streaming where you can be connected to two different bluetooth audio sources simultaneously and there’s is minimal latency in switching between audio sources. The new chip allows for 6x the transmission power of former models allows for a far more stable, reliable and fast connection. Also they are AuraCast ready for receiving public broadcasts such as in transport centres such as airports, train-stations or sports stadiums where you want to hear the commentary for example.

All the performance levels are the same size and use the ERA chip. The difference is the software loaded on the device. The technology level you choose will depend on your hearing loss, lifestyle and budget.
