Charging & Pairing:
The device takes only 2 hours to fully charge, and provides up to an amazing 12 hours of streaming! A red coloured light will indicate low battery status. However, before use, the Table Mic must be paired with your hearing aids. Thankfully, this can easily be done at home or by your hearing care professional if necessary.
How to use:
Although designed primarily for hearing aid users, the Table Microphone can also be used to provide listening in noise benefit for unaided or normal-hearing listeners. Incidentally, all one needs to do is plug wired headphones into the 3.5mm audio output socket.
When used in its primary function (set flat on a table) the Table Mic has three modes. Thankfully, all of these can be accessed by a single press of the central ‘mode’ button:
- Automatic mode – Table Mic automatically follows the primary speaker. The blue-lit segment shows the active listening direction.
- Manual mode – Tap the segment of the specific direction you want to prioritise and it will light blue! In fact, you can select more than one segment for a range of speakers.
- Surround Mode – This mode is designed for group conversations in quieter environments. All segments with light blue to show sound is being picked up from all directions.
Using as Remote Microphone or TV Streamer:
The secondary mode is the remote microphone and TV streaming mode. To activate, wear the device around the neck with the magnetic hanger (included) and sound will become prioritised from above. Thus, this mode is ideal for improving the speech-to-noise during one-on-one conversations in background noise. Indeed, it’s perfect for a dinner date, meetings over coffee or chatting with friends.
Besides this mode, you can access TV streaming by inserting the audio streaming cable into the micro USB jack of the Table mic and the other into the 3.5mm output (headphone jack) of your television.
