Roger On iN V2 compliments Phonak hearing aids to provide exceptional speech clarity across distance and in competing noise. It acts and a highly effective remote microphone and seamlessly integrates with a range of Bluetooth devices.

Description

Developed by Phonak, a leader in the field of hearing technology, Roger On iN V2 was launched in June 2023 and is one of the most versatile hearing aid accessories on the market. It is literally five accessories rolled into one making it one of the most versatile accessories.

It seamlessly integrates with Phonak hearing aids to provide users with exceptional clarity in diverse environments. This compact and sophisticated device functions as a wireless microphone, acting as a crucial bridge between the user and their immediate auditory surroundings.

With a sleek design it fits neatly in the palm of your hand. it measures only 10cm long and 2.5cm wide and is very light. Most of the features are automatic. There are four microphones toward the top which configure differently depending on which mode Roger On iN V2 is in. Clear symbols on the LCD screen show the mode you’re in. With its USB-C connection at the bottom it takes three hours to fully charge. Just one hour it will charger to 80% of its capacity. On a full charge it will provide up to 8 hours of continuous streaming.

5 Beneficial Modes:

  1. Table Mode: In challenging environments such as noisy restaurants or business meetings we know it can be difficult to hear the speakers sitting further away from you and you don’t want your hearing aids picking up too much speech from another table near your own. In this situation you can place the Roger On iN V2 on the table closest to the people at your table that are the furthest away. So the person speakings voice only has to travel to the microphones of the Roger On and not all the way to the microphones of your hearing aids. Phonak’s multi-beam 2.0 technology then analyses the environment 100’s of times per second and automatically compares the speech and noise arriving at the microphone array. It chooses the direction with the best signal to noise ratio having recognised where the speech signal is coming from. It then delivers the cleanest speech signal directly to your hearing aids. It also preserves the direction of where the speech is coming from.
  2. Presenter Mode: The Roger On will automatically switch modes depending on the position it is in. So if it worn around a persons neck with the lanyard or clipped to their pocket or lapel it will direct the microphones toward the speakers mouth. The Roger On has a range of around 25 meters. Examples of where presenter mode is beneficial could be during a lecture where it is worn by the lecturer or placed on the lectern and the speakers voice is directed straight through the phonak hearing aid wearers hearing aids. Or for example during a group fitness exercise class where the instructor wears the microphone or placed close to the instructor. You are literally hearing the presenters voice within inches of where their voices are produced.
  3. Pointer Mode: For situations where you can’t place Roger On down on a table or it be clipped to a speaker you can subtly point  it in the direction of the speaker you wish to hear and the row of three directional microphones narrowly zoom in and pick up the persons voice allowing it to be better separated from background noise and relayed straight through your hearing aid

  4. Media Mode: Roger On iN V2 is supplied with both a TOSlink and 3.5mm audio Jack and docking station which enables you to connect to most multi-media devices including your cell phone, T.V., Stereo and Computer. By plugging the audio output to your devices it will wirelessly stream the audio straight through your Phonak hearing aids.  So this device also services the same purpose as the Phonak T.V. Connector. Whilst Roger On sits in it’s Dock connected to the T.V. it is being recharged.
  5. Head Set Mode: An Additional mode not available in the former Roger On is HeadSet mode which is for when you are logged on to any Online Meeting whether it be Skype, Teams, Zoom or FaceTime. It allows the callers Audio to stream directly through your hearing aids. Plus the Roger On microphones pick up your voice too. This is a convenient plug and play option if you move around between work computers for example.
